The applied theatre center serves as the Upstate provider of the Migrant Education program through the South Carolina Department of Education. ATC takes an “arts-centric” education approach to the Migrant Education Program, meeting objectives through the use of visual arts and theatre activities. This program addresses 5 topics that have been identified as crucial to the support of these children and their futures. These topics include: English Language Proficiency, Applied Math, Family Dynamics & Healthy Living, Assertive Communication, and Self Identity & Image.
